If you would rather be rid of hemorrhoids, it's perfectly understandable. Yes, they hurt, they are annoying and they are inconvenient! If you have ever endured the pain and aggravation of hemorrhoids, it's no wonder you are eager to get rid of them! Anyone who has not had to deal with hemorrhoids cannot relate.

As far as the best hemorrhoid treatments go, you have a few options, three in fact, Personally I have used two of the three methods and have unfortunately witnessed the results of the third

The first treatment is one you probably know -- creams, gels and suppositories such as Preparation H.

Even though they don't cure hemorrhoids, they do offer some benefits. In my own experience suppositories are better than the ointment, even for hemorrhoids that are external. You probably also have internal hemorrhoids too, and these will need to be treated as well, to get the relief you need. These methods are very easy, though unpleasant; just go to the drug store and you are ready.

Unfortunately, I experienced some side effects from the product, including high blood pressure, that forced me to search for alternative therapies. Generally, using a chemical treatment for illnesses or diseases can have repercussions. Furthermore, the product didn't cure my hemorrhoids, it just alleviated them for a time. Finally, you cannot use the product if your hemorrhoids are currently bleeding.

The second option is to go under the knife, and have your hemorrhoids removed by surgery.

This was my physician's recommendation, though I elected not to do it. After having the surgery, my father experienced excruciating pain for several days. This is how he described the pain he felt: "Like hooks tearing into my butt". Knowing what happened to him, I did everything I could to avoid having surgery, and you should too. It is not the only option.

Although I used to be dubious about using natural cures, I now know better. So what are their advantages? First, I was surprised at how strong and effective they are. They work quickly, the cost is considerably less than most products, and your hemorrhoids will actually go away.

On the disadvantages its quite a bit of work researching which of the natural hemroid treatments work and which ones don't. My advice is don't believe everything you read, stick to good sources of information and double check everything.

With the count down to Valentines Day progressing, what will you do for your significant other? Will it be the a dozen of red roses or will it be a weekend trip.

This year try something new this Valentines day. This is the single most romantic Holiday of the year so break out of the ordinary.

The best way to do this is to start by knowing what your significant other likes. Does he or she like spa treatments? How about a weekend getaway to a bed and breakfast or other Inn type setting where the two of you can have quality time together?

Maybe a a candlelit dinner with a nice wine is a way to go. In my opinion this is a a great start sharing quality time and show how you really feel.

If dinner is too simple and you want something more, how about surprising he/she with round trip tickets to a destination resort that is not too long of a flight but one you can get to in an hour or two. Set up a spa treatment, golf, or any other romantic packages the resort offers. Most resorts have Valentines Day packages that can be tailored to your imagination.

The possibilities are endless even on a limited budget. It has been my experience that sometimes the simplest of ideas are the most romantic. The idea is to put some thought into what your significant other would really and try to cater to them. The thought of an idea is better than nothing at all and sometimes even better than just flowers.

Here is the bottom line; with Valentines Day around the corner start thinking and planning. Theres nothing worse than waiting until the last minute especially if you want to make dinner or other arrangements.

Valentines Day is a Holiday of romance. In my opinion, the best way to have a great Valentines Day is to provide a nice elegant setting where you and your partner can have quality time together and get out of the day-to-day routine. As long as it is thoughtful it doesnt really matter what it you do.
